Scott C. Hughes: Senior Pastor

Scott, orginally from South Central Kentucky, began preaching in churches as a teenager. He was called to Lakewood as Senior Pastor in August 2003 after serving as the Interim Pastor and Worship Minister for over a year. Scott is a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Scott and his wife Vickie have five children. shughes@lakewoodbc.org.

Mike Rue: Minister of Worship

Mike has been leading worship in various entities since 2003.  In April 2009, he was called to Lakewood as the Minister of Worship.  Before moving to Louisville, Mike served for two years as a public school music teacher in St. Clair, Minnesota.  He is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Mike and his wife Julie have one son, Jonah. mrue@lakewoodbc.org

Mike Delaney: Minister to Students

Mike and his wife Rachel have served at Lakewood since July 2007. He is a graduate of Boyce College and currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity from Southern. Mike, a native of Tennessee, enjoys the outdoors and spending time with Rachel and their son Elijah. His passion is to minister to and along side of today's younger generation and to make Christ followers committed to the Glory of God in all things. mdelaney@lakewoodbc.org.

Kevin Duncan: Director of Ministries to Children and Families

Kevin was called to Lakewood in 2006 with a passion for discipleship, children, and family ministries. He and his wife Robin came to Louisville in 2005 from South Carolina to attend Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kevin received his Masters of Christian Education from SBTS in the Spring of 2009. Kevin and Robin have two children, Wyatt and Leah. kduncan@lakewoodbc.org.

Elza Reeves: Pianist

Elza has been playing piano at Lakewood for over 10 years.  She plays in all church services and many choir performances. Elza and her husband, Robert, have two sons.

Janet Lawler: Keyboardist

Janet has been playing keyboard in church services since 2002. She also directs the Children's choir. Janet and her husband, Brad, have three children.
